How Our Wedding Sri Lanka collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data.

Who we are

Our Wedding Sri Lanka (“we”, “us”) is a wedding planning company based at 41/4 Uyana Road, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at info@ourweddingsrilanka.com or +94 77 341 9720.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect only what we need to respond and to plan your wedding:

  • The names of the couple
  • Email address and phone number
  • Country of residence
  • Wedding date, location, approximate guest count and approximate budget
  • Type of wedding
  • Your message, and anything else you choose to tell us

Technical and analytics data

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors use the site and which pages lead to enquiries. This can include your approximate location, device and the pages you visit. We record which page or campaign led you to an enquiry so we can see what works. If you decline cookies, these tools do not run.

Why we use your data

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, to prepare proposals, to plan and deliver your wedding if you hire us, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Where we rely on consent (for analytics and marketing cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.

Where your data is stored and who sees it

Enquiries are stored in our website admin panel and sent to our business email inbox. They are hosted with trusted service providers, including cloud hosting, database and email-delivery providers, who process data on our behalf. Some of these providers store data outside Sri Lanka. We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers who help us run the site and with suppliers you ask us to work with.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as it is needed to respond to you, to manage any engagement, and to meet our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Your rights

Under Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act (2022), and under the UK and EU GDPR if you live in those regions, you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, contact us. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your data-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change and show the date of the latest version above.
